Cruising

Lilla is working on walking, but she is very deliberate by nature, and likes to have each stepping stone in a task mastered before moving onto the next one. She loves to cruise, but will only stand a little without support. Here she is cruising around the coffee table at home, with a very focused look on her little face.

Cuddle Bug

Lilla is turning into a cuddle bug. She met my uncle for the first time last weekend, and took an immediate liking to him.

She even felt like taking a minute for a little cuddle.

Mother's Day

This time last year I was about to pop. Here we are on Mother's Day 2006. Lilla arrived two days later.

One year later...Mother's Day 2007. Our best year ever.

1st Birthday

My baby is almost one year old, so we had her first birthday party. It was a fun event, with lots of family and a few close friends. It is hard to believe that the first year is over....we have had so much fun with Lilla. She is curious and observant about everything, and so sweet natured. We just delight in her completely.

Peek-a-boo

We had a fun surprise at dinner tonight. Lilla started covering her eyes and then looking at us, and then we realized she was playing peek-a-boo with us! It was a great moment...

The Outdoors

We have been trying to take Lilla outside more to get used to the grass, thinking that she may want to crawl around and explore. But we are learning that she is not the adventurous type, and likes to observe everything around her until she is comfortable. Here she is checking out the trees, birds, and blue sky.

And so she stayed in her spot, never even trying to take off, and only interested in eating the grass while I sat with her.
